Background and Objectives

Project managers, engineers, quantity surveyors and administrators including those in senior roles need to be responsible for the hands-on management of construction contracts, most especially variations and claims. Whether one is on the side of the private owner/government or the contractor/sub-contractor, effective contract management will ensure the preservation of the commercial and financial entitlements of the contracting parties.

The aim of this ‘one-day condensed program’ is to provide project managers, engineers, quantity surveyors and administrators the principles and innovative practices of contract variations and claims as they apply to construction contracts. The program content will be discussed in detail including common mistakes in construction contract variations and claims, as well as strategies adopted in actual practice.

The resource person-expert will share his extensive experience in large construction projects gained in the Philippines, the Middle East, New Zealand and Australia. He will also highlight strategic practices executed within these diverse environments.

The course fee is still at a discounted rate of Php 11,500 inclusive of meals and snacks for two days and training tools/materials such as various contracts forms, report formats, letter/notification formats, jurisprudence of relevance to contract documents, calculation tools, and lecture/discussion materials.
